Cookie policy
Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. This one uses very few of them, none identify you by name, and declining the optional ones leaves every page fully readable. Below is what can be set, by whom, and for how long.
Strictly necessary
One item is stored regardless of what you choose, because it is what records the choice. It sits in your browser's local storage under the name sp-cookie-choice and holds a single word: accepted or declined. Without it the banner would reappear on every page, which nobody wants.
It contains no identifier, is never sent to a server, and stays until you clear your browser storage. UK rules do not require consent for something used solely to remember a consent decision.
Measurement, only if you accept
If you accept, we may set a small number of first-party cookies that count page views and how many people follow a link to an operator. They report totals — how many visits a page received, how many clicks a card generated — and are not used to build a profile, follow you across other sites, or target advertising.
Decline and none of them are set. Nothing on the site becomes unavailable as a result; we simply have less information about which pages are worth expanding.
Affiliate attribution, set by the operator
Following a link to a casino takes you onto that operator's own website, where its affiliate system typically stores a cookie recording that the visit came from us. That is how a referral is credited, and it is set by the operator under its own cookie and privacy policies rather than by this site.
We never see it, and we receive no information about your account, your play or your identity — only aggregate referral counts from the operator's reporting. The affiliate disclosure page covers the commercial side of that in full.
Fonts
The typeface used across the site is requested from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers to fetch the font files. That request does not set a cookie for us, but it is a connection to a third party and worth knowing about if you block such requests by default — the site falls back to a standard serif and remains perfectly readable.
Changing your mind
Clearing site data for spinprospector.co.uk in your browser settings removes the stored choice, and the banner will appear again on your next visit so you can decide differently. Every major browser also lets you block or delete cookies wholesale — look under Privacy in Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge.
Blocking everything will not break this site. It may affect casino sites you visit afterwards, since those rely on cookies for logins and session handling.
Spin Prospector is an independent comparison site funded by affiliate commission. We are not a gambling operator, not part of the Gambling Commission, and not owned by or affiliated with any brand listed. Cookies set by operators on their own websites are governed by their policies, not this one.
