Who the controller is

Spin Prospector operates spinprospector.co.uk and is the data controller for the limited processing described below. Contact for any privacy matter: hello@spinprospector.co.uk.

What is processed, and why

Messages you send us. If you email us or use the contact form, we process your name, email address and whatever you write, on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering correspondence. Messages are kept while the matter is open and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you follow up, then deleted. They are not added to any list.

Technical logs. Our hosting provider records standard server information — IP address, browser type, page requested, timestamp — as part of delivering the site and protecting it from abuse. That is a legitimate interest in security and availability, and the logs are short-lived.

Aggregate measurement. Where analytics or click counting is used, it runs on the basis of consent given through the cookie banner and reports totals rather than individuals. Decline, and only the strictly necessary cookie recording that choice is set.

Affiliate attribution. When you follow a link to an operator, that operator's own systems may record that the visit came from us. This lets it credit a referral. We receive counts, never your identity or anything about your account or play.

What is never processed

No gambling activity, because we have no access to any of it. No payment information, because nothing is ever paid to us by a reader. No special category data. No profiles built for advertising, and no sale or rental of anything to third parties under any circumstances.

Who else is involved

The site is served by a hosting provider that processes technical logs on our instructions. Web fonts are requested from Google Fonts, which involves your browser connecting to Google's servers to fetch the typeface files. Following an outbound link to a casino takes you onto that operator's infrastructure, where its own privacy policy applies from that point on.

Where data goes

Processing takes place in the UK or the European Economic Area wherever possible. Where a provider transfers data elsewhere, it does so under the safeguards required by UK data protection law, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of anything we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or erased, object to processing based on legitimate interests, ask for processing to be restricted, or withdraw consent for anything based on consent. Email hello@spinprospector.co.uk and we will respond within one month.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a request, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather hear from you first, but the route is there either way.

Children

This site is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly process information about anyone under 18, and if we became aware that we had, it would be deleted.

Changes

Any change to this policy appears here with an updated date at the top. If a change is material — a new processor, a new purpose — it will be flagged on the page rather than slipped in quietly.
